Shania TwainOver the years, Shania Twain has created a major impact in the world of music in many ways. Twain’s name is Eilleen Regina Edwards and was born on the 2nd day of August 1965. She is one of the popular country music singers and songwriter based in Canada. The contemporary world refers to her as "Queen of Country Pop". Queen has qualified as a best-selling artist in the world at all times. Her music has sold close to 85 million records across the worldwide. This paper seeks to analyze Shania Twain and her music as well as contributions to the society.

Twain has been named the female artist with best sales in records of country music. ‘The Woman in Me’ is Twain's 1995 album that brought fame by selling close to 20 million copies in the worldwide while her ‘Come On Over’, 1997 album was a studio album categorized as best-selling with a female act. Twain is adventurous with the genre of her music and makes her a best-selling country musician for all times with 40 million copies in sales across the worldwide. Her latest album dubbed ‘Up!

’ was launched in November 2002. She is recognized for performing beyond feasible music boundaries even with only three studio-based albums.At the age of 13, Eileen received an invitation for a performance at the ‘Tommy Hunter Show’ on CBC television network. During the attendance to Timmins High and Vocational School, Twain became the lead singer in the "Longshot", a local band that covered most of the Top 40 music. Early 1980s saw Twain spending time working at a reforestation business owned by his father in northern Ontario.

The business employed close to 75 Cree and Ojibwe workers. Even though the tasks involved were demanding and paid low, Twain loved the element of being stranded. She did not fear being in her environment, physical or working hard. Twain was very strong and walked miles daily while carrying heavy tree loads. She could not use shampoo, soap, deodorant, or makeup as the scent was prohibited. The workers used to bathe and rinse clothes at a nearby lake. The rugged existence allowed for creativity and sat alone within the forest advanced time for her to play her guitar and write songs.

From her history, Shania Twain is popular for her eminent combination of voice and personality that make her oen of the most popular singers within the realms of pop and country music genres. Such popularity offered more opportunities for innovative country crossover acts from fellow females like LeAnn Rimes and Faith Hill. Within the 1990s, Twain signed a $3 million endorsement contract with Revlon cosmetics for their products. The initial single in the "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" album was a top country hit across the US where there were close to five days airplay and made it to the Top 40 pop charts.

In conclusion, Twain has created a critical brand in country music in her native country and across the world. Her powerful voice and in sighting lyrics have earned her a major following among her audiences and colleagues. Twain is also commended for her efforts in offering support and contributing to the community in terms of time and personal resources.
