Delphi and Nominal Group Techniques I have experienced the use of the Delphi group technique in a group forum before, and as an afterthought, I wouldsay that the technique is highly effective. This is because the technique provides a way for members to express personal opinion without reservation or bias from watching the decisions of the other members of the group. The experience from the decision making process is unique because each member is allowed to provide a personalized decision. An analysis of the two decision-making approaches the main advantage of the Delphi group technique is that it allows members to make their own decision without contact from other members in the decision group.

This eliminates the effect of dominant members of the group imposing on other members to make one decision. However, the method can be time consuming and costly since each participant has to be separated and the decision-making process has to repeated for a long time. The nominal group technique is another way of making decisions, and in my opinion, the main advantage it presents is that it allows members to give their individual opinions and participate in constructive problem solving. Since each member is allowed to give their own view, other member can hear the individual opinions and decide whether every member makes sense.

However, the main disadvantage is that it does not allow members to develop their ideas to the fullest since the decision-making process is usually time-limited.The nominal group technique is the one applicable to my decision-making process, since it can take in the input by all the relevant managers in the firm. This technique would be used by collecting all the decision makers in the firm and having them decide on the best decision.
